Case Studies
- Based in the North of England, a Road Haulier receives an EDI file daily from a leading UK supermarket chain. This is integrated into our ROADFREIGHT package, allowing 24 articulated trailers across the UK to distribute dry goods daily.
- A Road Haulage Company with about 16 vans receiving over a 1500 parcels every other day from Europe. Details are sent as an EDI message and taken into ROADFREIGHT as a goods expected file, receipt is confirmed using a bar code scanner, and the expected file is then converted to real stock.
The goods are sorted manually into rounds along with other goods and are given a barcode label from the RF system. These consolidated parcels are then re scanned and a manifest is created, sent to a hand held PDA /scanner.
The driver obtains an electronic signature on the PDA and upon return to the depot, downloads into RF the POD’s, which allows automated invoicing.
Clients log onto the web site, places orders for delivery, which automatically produces Bar code labels, these are then put on boxes when delivered into depot or collected. No problem printing Labels on site with the correct equipment.
- A Road Haulier in the South West of England acts as the West Country Cargo Depot for London based Airlines. Goods are collected, delivered or received and charged using an Automated Charging Matrix, adjusted for each client. The consolidated Cargo to and from London Airports is charged per kilo to the Airline.
- A Midlands based road haulage company delivers goods across Europe using a charge matrix, tuned to each client or applying charges for full Loads for Sprinter vans city to city. Most vans are supplied by third party hauliers, all haulage costs are printed each month for each third party as an accrual report, effectively self billing, saving a lot of time for all.
