Cargo Receipt Module

Auditable cargo receipt booking module available for FASTFREIGHT.

Developed initially, as a variant of our FASTBOOK quick job entry desktop module, this module answers the requirements of the American Homeland Security Department (TSA).

Bar-coded cargo, received from national carriers, is scanned and the barcode reference entered into the system. Additional, final overseas delivery information is added and a reference (Box No) for each line of goods is provided. If large volumes of cargo is received from these national parcel carriers, with agreement these “goods in” can be received as an electronic file, saving a great deal of time and errors.

Cargo received from individuals and smaller carriers is entered manually and the drivers licence scanned, vehicle registration number recorded and an e-mail or fax of receipt is sent to the consignor. Bar-coded labels are produced for each unit.

Once the job input is completed, the Job details are automatically transferred into FASTFREIGHT ready for international despatch or consolidation.

Daily reports can be produced showing who sent what, to whom, satisfying the TSA and allowing easy cargo traceability before and after FASTFREIGHT involvement. The program can be used in a less sophisticated form to manage cargo entry into a receiving warehouse, again transferred to FASTFREIGHT , WELLSTOCK or STOREFREIGHT.

Case studies
  • A Miami based NVOCC using FASTFREIGHT has his warehouse manager populate the DATATEQ Warehouse receipt Module using barcode scanner technology. Flatbed scanning stores delivery driver ID and automatically sends receipt confirmation to clients.
